I still can't believe Polaroid had the audacity to discontinue production on their instant cameras and film earlier this year. The rate at which technology advances and renders many wonderful things obsolete is alarming!
But I guess that's precisely where the charm lies for those eager to relish in the past. They become holders of secrets and precious treasures. It's no wonder that Ebay has a choke-hold on vintage items- the supply is way short of demand.
Good luck finding a Print Gocco under $100 or "The Amazing Spiderman #1" comic book at all. You can kiss that dream goodbye.
And are there any record collectors out there? That's always a busy section at my local Goodwill. For good reason, too. It's that authentic quality of sound that music enthusiasts crave, an authenticity only found on vinyl (or so they say).
It's nice to know that some things will remain forever timeless, even if their time on Earth has been cut tragically and preemptively short.
